Caddy's calls this one 'The Original', the beach bar on Sunset Beach that the Madeira Beach and Indian Shores rooms grew from. Helene's surge in September 2024 buried it in sand and debris and Milton tore the roof days later; owner Marcus Winters told Tampa Bay 28 'It was like a warzone.' The building was gutted, lifted and rebuilt to current code while the bar ran out of a big tent under a Treasure Island emergency measure Winters credits with saving the business. It reopened in the rebuilt building with a ribbon cutting about 18 months after the storms, around 1 April 2026, with roughly 135 staff back at work.
Twenty taps of beer, wine and kombucha and a stage that the brewery says has full bands most nights of the week. Sister kitchen Kraken Joe's Pizza cooks in an oak-fired brick oven on site. I Love the Burg notes the covered and uncovered seating and the arcade games.
Don and Gwen opened Casita after bonding over travel and planning vacations around what each city had to eat, which is how they landed on Mexican food. Corn tortillas are made in-house and the meats are slow-braised. Nearly fifteen years on there are three St. Pete locations ... Central Ave, 4th Street and 66th Street.
A grill and a beach bar on the sand, attached to a hotel on Gulf Boulevard, with seafood, tacos and frozen drinks and live music every day by its own account. I Love the Burg recommended it to parents for the soft sand, hammocks and children's options on the menu. A 2026 visitor review seen in search results says it reopened in February 2026 after hurricane damage.

Family Friendly St. Pete
A kids menu is not the same thing as a room that welcomes your kids.
St. Pete rooms that say on their own sites that the whole crew is welcome, with the sand, the yard or the kids menu to back it up.

A neighborhood brewery that opened in October 2023 on MLK Street North. Outside is family and pet friendly; inside is the 21 and up Golden Easy bar. The tap list leans to IPAs with wine, low-alcohol and non-alcoholic pours, and the yard hosts food trucks and a monthly Lunar Market with vendors and live music.
St. Pete's oldest brewery marked its 13th anniversary in September 2026. The beer garden and tasting room on Baum Avenue stay family friendly, while Webb's City Cellar, its second room, pours sours, cider, mead and wine for adults only. On September 25, 2026 it opened Upstairs at Webb's, an adults-only second-floor bar with Japanese-style side-pull pours and English cask ale. I Love the Burg says honey for the mead comes from bees kept on the roof.
The brewery calls itself the first and only microbrewery on St. Pete Beach. It runs a 5-barrel system with 18 or more house beers and also distills vodka, rye, bourbon and agave spirits on site. There is a scratch kitchen, an outdoor stage and a patio where dogs and kids are welcome.
A south-side fish camp with a backyard tiki bar and more than 15 fish preparations, by its own count. I Love the Burg describes the big courtyard of palms and nautical odds and ends where children build shell mounds while the grown-ups eat, with live music in the evening. The owners leased the old Coquina Meat Market across the street for a dessert and wine room, and the smoked wings went into Tropicana Field's food hall.
A 4th Street pizza room where, according to Suncoast Family Fun, children are handed pizza dough to play with at the table, can make their own pizza on Saturdays and eat free on Wednesdays.
The dining room is built around a 33,500 gallon aquarium that fills a wall. The own site describes Floribbean cooking and Gulf seafood, a sports bar with a deck, a boutique, and live entertainment every night on an indoor stage. Suncoast Family Fun lists it for children because of the tank.
The own site calls it the St. Pete Pier's only outdoor cafe: pizza and cold drinks at open-air tables beside Spa Beach. Suncoast Family Fun points out why parents use it ... it sits between the pier's playground and the splash pad.
Helen Lund opened The Chattaway in 1951 and her family, later Jillian Frers, ran it for 75 years as a burger garden with an English tea room inside. In March 2026 the property went under contract and the restaurant was expected to close for good; it shut in mid-July. Cullen Mahoney, Ferg's owner Mark Ferguson and Shrimpy's Waterfront owner John John Delladonna bought the restaurant and its 0.70 acre lot in August and reopened it on 25 September 2026. The new owners added a second outdoor bar, a canopy with fans over the patio and a full liquor license, and say the burger stays as it was.
A tiki bar and restaurant on the water at the St. Pete end of the Gandy Bridge, tagged by its own site with #comebylandorbysea. Suncoast Family Fun puts it first on its Pinellas list because tables sit on the sand where children can dig, and an old boat ramp lets them play at the water's edge with a table beside it. The own site books weddings, rehearsal dinners and birthdays under the tikis.
